what were you expecting, some floozy in a blue dress??
I think of this as another installment in the Kecky Princesses series (no, wait, there really isn't a series, don't quote me on that.) I thought a brunette, somewhat awkward Cinderella would be so cute, and then I got this whole story in my head about how the stepsisters are really gorgeous, but evil, and one of them steals the suave handsome Duke with which Cindy is hopelessly in love but it turns out okay because she OBVIOUSLY ends up with the endearingly somewhat awkward prince. I just really liked how this sketch turned out. she's at her window gazing across the city at the castle, if you couldn't tell. I have more doodles. maybe I'll write it someday. ha! Mandy is going to be so scandalized at the thought of beautiful stepsisters!!! edit: cleaned this up a wee bit (just the border and stuff, nothing too scandalous) so I could use it as a print. enjoy! |
