Artist's Comments

The Magician's Nephew is definitely my favorite Narnia book, and definitely high up on the list of my favorite books ever. Here is my sorry attempt at a tribute.

Okay, so maybe I actually like how this turned out quite a lot. It still doesn't live up to the book.

This is so great. You should think of becoming a book illustrator. It's really...wow...just great. Love it.

It's so gorgeous... I think the soft/more muted colours actually capture some of that old-English-classic-literature-ness of the book, so well done you, in my humble opinion.

Nice job! The coloring is beautiful, looks very warm and homey, while the pool adds mystery and wonder. Very nicely done! not a sorry excuse at all! great job!

Having the courage to spread your wings and fly, doesn't mean you'll never fall. It just means that won't hit the ground when an arrow pierces your wing. Because you were strong enough to take flight in the first place.-me
