"do you think the raindrops miss the sky?"

This started out as a Sharpie doodle this summer, and I just decided to scan it in and make it all pretty. I cleaned it up a whole lot, but I did let the Sharpie show through in some places to keep the nice texture. I like it!

The text up at the top was just some notes I jotted down in my sketchbook on a rainy night to try to capture the feel of it, and when I looked at it later, I realized it almost made a nice little poem:
"rainy night - violet sky -
all black & gray shapes & small things murmuring
& shadows rustling quietly;
all wet, wet pitter-patter noises"
It's not really supposed to be readable, but there you go

I think I ought to just reconcile with the fact that rainy days are just My Thing, and stop feeling bad about churning out so many rain pictures!

this piece of work is too beautiful for words to describe,and beyond my comprehension. It does make me feel a little bleh... especially when the rain comes along. lol. Anyways, take care for now.
