This started out as a Sharpie doodle this summer, and I just decided to scan it in and make it all pretty. I cleaned it up a whole lot, but I did let the Sharpie show through in some places to keep the nice texture. I like it!
The text up at the top was just some notes I jotted down in my sketchbook on a rainy night to try to capture the feel of it, and when I looked at it later, I realized it almost made a nice little poem: "rainy night - violet sky - all black & gray shapes & small things murmuring & shadows rustling quietly; all wet, wet pitter-patter noises" It's not really supposed to be readable, but there you go
I think I ought to just reconcile with the fact that rainy days are just My Thing, and stop feeling bad about churning out so many rain pictures!
I like a whole lot about this but I'm not sure what. The color scheme appeals to me and I guess so do the rounded edges? Overall I think it's just a very interesting composition. :>
