Artist's Comments

SO this piece was me trying to push myself in a lot of ways... trying to make myself do backgrounds, experiment with composition, play with color and texture... it's become one of those pieces that I've stared at for so long that I have no idea anymore whether I like it or not. Pretty sure I do.

I know this looks like it should have some deep intense meaning or something but really... I just like pretty magical foresty things. That's it!

I love how this looks traditional, but it's digital. Awesome work. I love the textures, the colors, everything.

I really like it, at first I thought she was advertising something, but now I see its just a magical mushroon potion of some kind. I like the branches in the border.

As an inhabitant of the Pacific Northwest, I dig the ferny foresty look of this! Very lovely!

I think all the things you mentioned, background, textures, etc., all worked out VERY well. Good thing you pushed yourself on them :)

Pushing is good, I struggle with lots of things and I know the only way to get better is to work at it. I love the trees in the background, I love how loose they are, it really contributes to the distance.
